Home as Studio

As a natural light photog I prefer to work out of doors. The problem is that in Canada that means at least five months of the year it's a bit chilly for some little ones out there. I tossed around the idea of buliding a small light infused studio in my yard, but nixed it as heating would be difficult.
Over the last year we have been finishing our house. In some cases redoing things the proper way, and in other areas finally getting to the finishing work. It's been 10 years, so you know, its time! Anyway here is what came to me as I picked the finishes and colours and textures for my home- I had a perfectly good sudio already. Every room in my house can be used as indoor shooting space. I have windows everwhere to provide light and plently of interesting furniture and textural elements. Interior design was the original direction of my studies and has been put to good use in my home- so why not use my home as my studio?
This past weekend I painted my son's bedroom navy, and I am so excited to shoot in it this weekend!
